The Lake House Inn is a premier wedding venue and event facility located in Upper Bucks County near the border of the Lehigh Valley. Originally built as an Inn and stage coach stop in the late 1700s, this historic structure has served as a post office and a general store.

Upon purchasing the property in 2003, today’s owners Glenn and Kate Stevens engaged in an expansive remodel with an eye for detail and an understanding of what couples like you, and your guests want and need in a destination wedding experience. They’ve brought a modern, upscale European ambiance to the 14-room inn and Boathouse ballroom. They transformed the grounds to greenscape and gardens, added a lakeside terrace and amphitheater, and built in features, such as the wine cellar and waterfront fire pit, two perfect gathering spots for enjoying connection with family and friends.

Since officially opening in 2007, The Lake House Inn has garnered praise from countless newlyweds and received recognition as an award-winning property by the American Institute of Architects. Nestled on the banks of Lake Nockamixon, The Lake House Inn provides access to nearly 6,000 acres of state park adventure, plus the lake itself—a hotspot that’s renowned for fishing, boating, hiking, cross-country skiing, and other types of year-round recreation. The Lake House Inn story begins with our own wedding, which took place at a 13th Century palace, overlooking the skyline of Florence, Italy. We so cherished the celebration, surrounded by friends and family in such an extraordinary, hospitable setting. Years later, upon purchasing what is now The Lake House Inn, we knew what we wanted to do: model it after our own European wedding.
