When searching for a wedding venue we had to consider how far our guest were willing to travel. We found The Lake House Inn and our search, stopped there. What an amazing venue so close to New York and Philadelphia. We had always dreamed of a destination wedding, but realize it’s a lot to ask for your guests to travel by air. Our wedding at The Lake House Inn turned out to be better than we ever imagined. We stayed for two nights surrounded by friends and family and it felt like a week! And unlike a destination wedding 95% of our invited guest were able to attend. The whole experience was amazing! Special thanks to our planner Holly, and Marina, the innkeeper, for making our wedding weekend so special. neha metgudJuly 13, 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We recently got married at The Lake House Inn, and it was nothing short of magical. The venue itself is absolutely stunning — from the serene lake views to the elegant indoor spaces, every corner is picture-perfect. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about how beautiful everything was! A huge shoutout to our coordinator, Craig, who truly went above and beyond for us. From our very first meeting to the final moments of our wedding day, he made sure every detail was executed flawlessly. His calm energy, attention to detail, and genuine care made a huge difference — we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better point person. The staff overall was very friendly and professional. While communication at the beginning of the planning process was a bit spotty, things picked up closer to the big day. One small thing we would’ve loved: having a bridal or groom attendant to help bring water, snacks, or assist with small needs throughout the day. It would’ve helped take a little pressure off us and our bridal party. JAM Catering was also a big hit — the food was absolutely delicious, and our guests were incredibly happy with the variety and quality of the meal. The only feedback we’d give is that we wish the refilling of cocktail hour stations and desserts had been a bit quicker. That said, everything we did get to enjoy was top-notch in taste and presentation. Overall, we are so grateful to have had our wedding at such a beautiful and well-run venue. It was everything we had hoped for and more, and we’ll cherish the memories forever. Highly recommend for any couple looking for a breathtaking space and a team that truly cares. Our celebration at The Lake House Inn was an absolute dream come true, largely because of the flawless coordination by our planners, Erin and Starr. Their attentiveness and professional guidance were constants from our first meeting. They introduced us to an incredible team, and their oversight ensured that every single element unfolded perfectly. The catering by Jeffrey Miller Hospitality was particularly noteworthy; our guests are still talking about the delicious food and the warmth of the service. We were able to be fully present and soak in every moment, knowing Erin and Starr had everything completely under control. It was a truly seamless and joyous day. After touring countless large venues in NJ and Philadelphia we found our dream location in The Lake House Inn—a boutique treasure that felt made for our vision of an intimate, luxurious celebration. Hosting 185 guests in this lakeside oasis was like inviting them to a private estate, where every detail radiated exclusivity and thoughtful care. What truly set our experience apart was the incredible planning team. Craig and Kate. Thanks to their coordination and creative vision, every aspect of our day felt tailor-made, from the custom lighting that highlighted the venue’s striking architecture to a perfect timeline that helped bring our celebration to life. A special mention goes to Marina, who quickly became known to our guests as “the nanny of The Lake House.” Her care and hospitality were truly above and beyond—she anticipated every guest’s need, made everyone feel at home, and ensured that even the smallest requests were accommodated. Marina’s presence left a lasting impression. The exclusivity of having the entire property for the weekend gave our celebration a refined intimacy. Our guests continually remarked that it felt like attending a sophisticated gathering at a close friend’s estate, complete with luxurious accommodations and panoramic lake views from every suite. The Boathouse Ballroom was the perfect blend of grandeur and warmth. The layout provided just the right energy for an unforgettable night of dinner and dancing. We stayed two nights, spending quality time with close friends and family. The ceremony and reception included a larger group, then we returned to our intimate circle for the after-party and breakfast. Kate, the planner, was outstanding—organized and attentive. Marina, the innkeeper/nanny, was a burst of positive energy, especially with the kids. This venue is beautiful, and the staff seamlessly blended the pre-party, ceremony, reception and after party into one beautiful memory. Thelhi is a perfect lake front wedding venue. It allows you to spend quality time with friends and family. We can’t wait to return as guests! Elle S.June 21, 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Meant to write a review but haven't had the chance. We got married in October 2023 and wanted to say that Craig is an amazing wedding planner. Having been to other weddings, a lot can go wrong and things can be delayed but Craig made sure everything was on point without a hitch. The JAM catering they use is also amazing with top quality food. They were great with accommodations, as we wanted our carrot cake wedding cake without nuts as we had a few people with allergies. They also gave us an appetizer that was out of season for no extra charge. 4/5 stars because while Craig was awesome, the hotel manager of housekeeping was rather bossy. I love decorating and I wanted to decorate the tables but she kept saying “you don’t have to do anything! You’re the bride” I get it may come from a place of being helpful but I *want* to decorate. But they didn’t give me the choice to. If it’s what I want, I should be able to. Also, one of my guests that were staying over had their gift basket from their room stolen. It was just a cheap basket of treats but still. Also the billing department was a complete mess. It took months to get our deposit back. West Village Chic on the Lake As a NYC couple, we envisioned a wedding that married New York City elegance with natural splendor, and The Lake House Inn on Lake Nockamixon was pure perfection. Our sophisticated celebration for 240 guests was a flawless blend of urban chic and lakeside serenity, creating an unforgettable day. The venue’s lush gardens and shimmering Lake Nockamixon set a breathtaking stage for our ceremony. The lakefront garden was an idyllic backdrop for our vows, with the gentle water and vibrant flora adding a romantic, timeless feel. The Lake House Inn team ensured every detail, from the floral arch to the aisle setup, reflected our refined aesthetic. The Boathouse Ballroom was a showstopper for our reception. With its 27-foot ceilings, Murano glass chandeliers, and panoramic lake views, it felt like a Manhattan loft transported to the countryside. The space effortlessly hosted our 240 guests, with a sleek copper bar and draped ceiling in soft neutrals evoking West Village sophistication. Jeffrey A. Miller’s catering wowed with a curated menu of elevated dishes, from passed hors d’oeuvres to a plated dinner that had guests raving. The lakeside fire pit after-party, with craft cocktails and s’mores, was a stylish, cozy finale. Craig and the team were exceptional, managing our large guest count and detailed vision with seamless professionalism and warmth. The 18 luxurious guest rooms housed 50 of our nearest and dearest, making it a chic weekend retreat just an hour and half from NYC. The continental breakfast on the lakeside terrace was the perfect morning-after touch. The Lake House Inn brought City/Country elegance to life with its stunning setting and impeccable service. For any City couple seeking a wedding that’s both grand and intimate, this venue is magic. We’re still swooning!
