The lake views during the ceremony area were unreal—I kept staring at the water instead of looking at my husband half the time 😂 Getting ready in the bridal suite with that view was the best part of the morning. The reception in the lakefront ballroom felt magical, especially with the lights on the water. Cocktail hour was super fun with the huge indoor-outdoor flow, and Joe the bartender became everyone’s favorite person. The food was so delicious—Jeffrey Miller Catering really killed it. We loved having everyone stay over—the fire pit after-party was the coziest way to end the night. Holly Perry was our wedding coordinator and did an amazing job over the year of planning. Especially on the day of the wedding, she was there to assist with any questions or issues. She was professional and on top of everything and insured the day was special for our family! We are so grateful to her help throughout the planning and the wedding!! In terms of the Inn, it is difficult for Saturday weddings in terms of timing due to there generally being a wedding on Friday as well. Our wedding was at 3:30 and we could not arrive before noon so the rehearsal and pre-ceremony photos had to be done quickly. The rooms where the wedding party stayed are fairly sparse but adequate. There are no closets in most rooms, no carpet and very basic bedding and a lot of the blinds in the rooms were broken or not operable. I think a little more effort could go into the grounds around the venue like the outdoor pots which mostly contained dead plants or nothing. Given that it was November, we did not expect flowers but even evergreens would have been nice. The Inn could also upgrade things like trash cans outside and in the rooms and some of the outdoor lights near the ceremony site were broken. Overall maintenance for the venue could be improved given the cost of renting the space. Our guests enjoyed the wedding and the food provided by JAM was delicious. I think they could definitely upgrade their wine selection however. The beer and liquor was fine but the wine selection was not appropriate for the cost.
